Satellite Remote Sensing
Research in this area includes:
- bio-optical studies of water quality indicators,
- altimetry for the derivation of sea surface height and surface currents,
- scatterometry for sea surface wind determination,
- applications to coral reef monitoring, and
- sea surface temperature and ocean heat flux measurement.
Collaborative research is conducted with CSIRO, NASA, NOAA and others on new-generation satellites.
